So, you are getting
married. You have worked hard to select the location of your reception. Maybe
it’s under a tent in your beautiful backyard or maybe it’s in a hotel or country
club. The one thing every location has in common is that no matter where you
serve your guests, you will always need tablecloths. Your needs may vary. For
a more casual event, you might want to add some color. For a more formal event,
you might want to add an overlay or chair covers. No matter what type of event
you are having, keep in mind the following:
-Just because your function
hall or caterer has linen, that doesn’t mean you will like it. Make sure to
visit a reception in your hall or done by your caterer. If you like the linen,
make sure it is included. Take a close look at the linen. Make sure that the
tablecloths and napkins are in good condition; that they are clean and not
faded.
-Just because your function
hall has linen, that doesn’t mean the linen is full length. Commercial tables
have less than attractive legs. Don’t let the multiple metal legs of chairs and
tables interfere with the otherwise beautiful landscape of your room. Make sure
your linen is full length.
If you don’t like the linen
offered, or, if you would like to add to and upgrade the look of your wedding,
you should discuss this with your function coordinator.
